ERDC NEW SEASON 2013

After a year during which Europe has seen as many teams and bouts as never before, we are happy to announce that ERDC's ranking was a huge success and will continue. We are sure that not 100% of the bouts were submitted, however the representation of the performances of the teams is as close to reality as we hoped it would be. Again, the ranking on ERDC is a tool to help teams find the appropriate opponents to play, rather than to make a binding statement on who is number X or Y in Europe.

RELEGATION

For the upcoming year, teams will not only move up (like 2011/2012), but also move down a division based on their performance in 2012.

These are the rules:

  1. Teams with a rating of more than two points (> 2) will move up one division
  2. Teams with a rating of more than four points (> 4) will move up two divisions
  3. Teams with a rating of less than one (< 1) will move down one division
  4. B-Teams will remain one division below their leagues' A-Teams regardless of their rating (C-Teams one below the B-Team). LRG's Brawl Saints remain the exception from this rule.
  5. Teams that have not bouted yet will be removed from the ranking until their first score is submitted. Depending on their performance they can be placed in any division (e.g. in the event of a new team beating a division 2 team they can be placed as high as their opposition)

The changes become effective January 1st 2013. We will consider all scores submitted until December 17. Please make sure all your scores of 2012 are in our database until then!

MERBY CHRISTMAS

For the first time ERDC will acknowledge the growing number of Men's teams. Due to their number there will be only one division for 2012 and 2013. After Christmas 2012 you will be able to submit your league info and scores!

We appreciate all the positive feedback we received and will continue to serve the European Roller Derby community as good as we we can. We hope you keep supporting ERDC. The best way is to promote the website when- and wherever you can. This platform can only be as good as you make it. If you find things missing, such as events and scores, you can help by pointing the league whose info is missing to it. Comment on Facebook events if the event is not on the ERDC calendar etc. This is a service by the leagues for the leagues.
